Kate, one of our assistants, was born and raised in Lexington. She graduated in 2012 from Eastern Kentucky University with her B.A. in Communication. She then went to IDT, pursuing her degree in Expanded Duties Dental Assisting in 2015. Her passion for dentistry comes from her own personal experience when visiting the dentist as a young girl. Kate strives to build relationships with her patients and finds their trust very important and rewarding. In her spare time, Kate loves spending time with her family and friends, dancing, and taking her dog Lulu to the park to play.
Our office manager, Lauren moved from western Kentucky to Georgetown in 2018. She graduated from WKU in 2013 with her B. S. in Healthcare Administration. Her interest in dentistry stems from watching her mom work in the dental field for most of her childhood. Lauren loves working with the Bluegrass Periodontics team, as they all share a passion for providing the highest quality of care for each patient. The most rewarding part of her job is getting to know the patients and helping to ensure they feel like family every time they visit us. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys baking, crafting, and especially spending time with her husband, Dustin and their adorable son, Braden. They bleed blue and love cheering on the Cats!
Chelsea, one of our assistants, moved to Lexington from her hometown, Versailles to pursue her certified EDDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant) education. She graduated from the Institute of Dental Technology in 2016 and joined our team in the spring of May 2017. Chelsea enjoys spending time with her son, Carter, and likes kickboxing, hiking, and crafting. What she enjoys most about being apart of our practice is the people she works with, seeing patients happy with their surgical outcomes, assisting in surgeries, and helping in the office wherever she can.
